Celebrating our graduates
LD Training Services is delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students in partnership with Leeds Trinity University and Gloucestershire College. This guide contains everything you need to know before your graduation day - arrival times, gown collection, photography, guest information and what to expect during the ceremony.
We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you, your family and your friends.
The graduation ceremony will take place at:
Village Hotel Nottingham
Village Hotels Nottingham, Brailsford Way, Nottingham, NG9 6DL
Registration, gown collection, official photography, refreshments and the graduation ceremony will all take place within the venue.
The venue offers complimentary parking onsite for graduates and guests.
Graduates should arrive no later than 10:00am. Registration opens from 9:30am, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the ceremony.
Once you arrive, please make your way to the registration desk where our team will welcome you and guide you through the next steps. Graduates will be invited into the ceremony hall from 11:30am for a short briefing before the ceremony begins.
Guest allocations were confirmed during the graduation registration process.
To request an additional guest place, please contact experience@ldtraining.ac.uk. Additional places cannot be guaranteed due to venue capacity.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
If you or a guest has accessibility requirements not yet discussed with us, please contact experience@ldtraining.ac.uk before the ceremony so we can make suitable arrangements.
If family or friends are unable to attend in person, they can watch the ceremony live via the LDT YouTube channel.
The livestream link will be emailed to all registered graduates before the ceremony.
The ceremony will also be professionally recorded, and the recording will be made available online after the event.
Graduates participating in the ceremony must wear the official academic dress. LDT's official gowning partner is Marston Events.
Your gown will be available to collect at the venue on arrival, where staff from Marston Events will help you dress correctly. At the end of the ceremony, please return your academic dress to the gown collection point.
Graduation is a formal celebration, and we encourage graduates and guests to dress accordingly. Your graduation gown is worn over your clothing.
Professional photographers will be available throughout the morning to capture your graduation.
Additional photographs can be purchased directly from the photographers on the day (card payment only).
The ceremony takes place in the Inspiration Suite and begins promptly at 12:30pm, lasting approximately three hours. Each graduate will be allocated a seat - please remain in your allocated seat throughout, as graduates are called to the stage in seating order.
A steward will confirm your attendance and direct you to your allocated seat. Guest seating is unallocated and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guests are welcome to take photographs and short videos during the ceremony using handheld cameras or mobile phones. Please be considerate of other guests and avoid blocking anyone's view. Tripods and other large photographic equipment are not permitted.
At both the beginning and end, guests will be invited to stand (if able) for the academic procession.
Following the ceremony, graduates are asked to remain in the hall for a commemorative class photograph.
We'll also capture the traditional mortarboard toss - a memorable way to celebrate your achievement together. Afterwards, you're welcome to spend time with family and friends and take additional photographs around the venue.
Every graduate will receive:
Additional portrait photographs and memorabilia will be available to purchase during the event.
If you have any questions before the ceremony, please get in touch. We look forward to celebrating this incredible achievement with you.
